Raahepolis Oy is owned by the City of Raahe and is the leading business premises company in the Raahe sub-region.
The origins of Raahepolis Oy are with Kiinteistö Oy Raahen Technopark, which operated in Raahe in the 1980s and 1990s and with Pattijoen Teollistamisyhtiö, (Pattioki Industrialisation Company) which was based in Pattijoki. The most recent mergers took place in early 2012 when Softpolis Raahe Oy merged with Raahen Teollistamisyhtiö Oy, forming a new company that was given the name Raahepolis Oy.
Raahepolis Oy constructs, leases, and sells premises for the needs of business and public administration. Raahepolis can also make small capital investments in companies that are starting their operations. The company owns and leases approximately 50,000 square metres of office space. Thirty-five companies representing different sectors from information technology to health care and education operate in the Softpolis properties on Rantakatu. Skilled companies in metal technology and mechanical engineering operate in the industrial halls of Kaupunginmetsä and Korekelonkangas.
